THE COMPILATION...
We pressed 1000 copies (for the beginning, but maybe we could consider to repress some thers copies) and we'll keep just a part of the money we spent for pressing the CD, the cover and for the post costs. All the other money wil be sent to Keith Mchenry, one of the founder of Food not bombsand stil really active today. The idea of releasing a benefit emerged reading the book "FOOD NOT BOMBS" by "See sharp press" which tells the ideas and the ways of acting of the organization. At the beginning we were interested in doing a benefit for an italian group of FNB, but since there are not active groups (at least we not find any group) we though to give the money to Keith who knows better than us the fnb collectives and who need more support. here there is his email in case you're interested in contacting him... foodnotbombs@earthlink.net
FNB is a non hierarchical organization who provides vegetarian food refused by the society to people who need it. They generally are pacifists, they stand against militarism, and they own positions near to anarchist groups. We think that hardcore, as we mean it, have a lot of things in common with this kind of organizations, and we consider a positive effort trying to give a contribute.
We'll mark every Cd sold, given to distros or in promotion (we're spreading really few promotional copies 'cause we're trying to reduce costs). In case we can't sell all the copieas (even if the cd is going well, so at the moment we're quite optimistic) we're intentioned to send all the rest of the copies to Keith.
